“Fat Eighths” fabric at Sampeng Lane

Posted by Jill on February 27, 2008

marsha mccloskey 1Another great find in Chinatown! At Chuan Hua, also known as “The 3 for 100 Shop,” we came across fabric labeled More Fat 8ths and Friends by Marsha McCloskey for In the Beginning.” It was a bit more than the other fabric, priced at 45 baht per meter, with a 2 meter minimum purchase. It will be great for quilting because you get a variety of 4 prints running lengthwise along the fabric. You can easily cut it up into fat eighths. Cut at 18″ and the strip includes four fat eighths.

Don’t you love the fat 8th …. I made several quilts using it for Habitat House. I didn’t cut mine apart, I sewed on the line between the bars. You can’t even tell.
