Wholesale Fabric at Shibuya Pratunam Shopping Mall in Bangkok

There is an elevated walkway from Gaysorn Plaza to the Pratunam shopping area. The skywalk is called R Walk (Ratchaprasong Walk). I took the BTS Sukhumvit Line to Chidlom and walked to Pratunam on the R Walk, to check out a new mall called Shibuya. I saw it mentioned in the Facebook group Bangkok Shopping Finds. The mall has three floors of wholesale fabric, mostly polyester and lace. I bought 2 meters of polyester at 100 baht per meter. If you buy more you will get the wholesale price.

A food court, Food Center on the 6th floor, is open daily from 9:00 – 6:00. Closed Sunday.

Sirinda Shop does made-to-order labels, patches, stickers, printed and laser buttons and more. Look for sirindafanpage on Facebook. I bought a few decorative embroidered patches at 20 baht each.
    Hours for Sirinda Shop:
Monday through Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
    Closed Sunday

It’s also called Shibuya 19 Shopping Mall. There are lots of fashion clothing shops in the mall too. See pics at this link.  Bangkok.com

At Sirinda Shop they can make to order: labels (woven, printed, screened, leather), size labels, care labels, buttons, hang tags, ribbon, thread, plastic and paper bags, embroidery, elastic, cotton tape and garment accessories. They have a branch at Bobae too, open Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm closed Sunday.

      Hi Jill,
I hope all is well. I’ve really enjoyed reading some of your posts about Bangkok shopping in the local markets!
I will be coming to Bangkok for a few days starting from tomorrow. I was wondering if you could help me?
I’m looking for these super-cute fabric covers for keys, phones, passports etc.
I found some in the Palladium Mall (outdoor market) but can you tell me where else I can find them?

Thanks for your help in advance!
      Joanne

How to get to Sampeng Lane Chinatown on the MRT

The way to get to Sampeng Lane by public transport is to take the MRT Metropolitan Rapid Transit
(subway) to the Hua Lampong Station. Walk out exit 4. Straight ahead you will see bus 40 waiting there usually. It takes you to Sampeng for only 8 baht. Have fun seeing the sights and sounds of Chinatown!

When you are at Hira fashion in Sampeng, see how unfriendly the management/ owners are. After a few years I stopped being their customer and went to other shops. Prices are the same, but better service. Also try Indian area for crafting material (pahurat)

I would go to Kimono House, it’s around the corner from China World in Pahurat. On Google maps you can find it if you search “Kimono House, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok.” Or if you don’t want to go to Pahurat/Chinatown, but stay downtown, Fabric House at Central World, 2nd Floor.

i Jill. Wanted to express my gratitude for providing this information. I found Kimono Shop and all I can say is OMG. It is diagonally across the street from a Huge Starbucks. IF I didn’t need to get back to work, I’d have done more damage to my wallet.
15 meters of 5 different beautiful fabrics patterns for a grand total of $47.00 USD. All brand names. Unbelievable.

Worst part was getting a taxi when I came out. Settled for a Tuk Tuk figuring that if there was an accident, I’d die happy.
          Thanks again!!!!

Not wholesale clothing. There are a few retail racks of clothing along the open areas of the mall. For wholesale fashion clothing people go to Bo Bae, or Pratunam area.

No they don’t. You have to go to individual factories and discuss the patterns you want made, and get a quote. For example there is a factory in Rangsit, north of Bangkok.

No they don’t. There is a shipping service “Corner Post” on Ratchawong Rd. You can go there first and talk to them. They speak English. Then at the fabric shop, tell them to send the items over to Corner Post. Then I guess you have to go back to Corner Post and pay and have it shipped. The fabric shops will send to any shipping service you decide on. But you have to arrange it, not them. https://bkkquilt.com/2010/09/15/corner-post/
